Seaside Fun Fly Nov 3 2002
Star

Here are pictures from a fun fly at Seaside State Beach on Nov 3, 2002. Jim and Rob came over from Merced. Wayne and his neighbor were down from Santa Clara. Brew was out from the East Coast. Kristen and I had come down from Santa Cruz, and of course, the locals were there: Mike, Dave, Lee, and Dave's Rev flying girl friend (sorry, I don't remember her name).

Mostly light winds, but for an hour or so, the winds picked up enough to fly the big SLKs. A beautiful day with beautiful kites in the sky!

Stunt kites I saw: Brew and Wayne were flying Easy Lites and Wayne pulled out his Gemini when the winds picked up. Lee had his L'Atelier Excess UL and BensonOuterspace. Mike had his trusty Dipper, but the Vanishing Point was out with a broken LE spar. Wayne's neighbor was flying an Eclipse SUL and a foil. Jim had a Next UL, and when the winds really died down he and Kristen flew Wrens. I flew the I-Nak, the I2K, and the Breeze. Dave and his girlfriend flew their quads, and Dave flew his mystery indoor kite that I don't think has been identified. He also had his Mach 1 out. Rob had his Elixir out and he also had this interesting SLK glider from zoone.org.
