Hello! Welcome to Andre's Page. Andre is my new Pied Peach Face Love Bird. We are still learning how to live together. He was not hand raised, so he is still a bit afraid when a hand comes toward him. But he is getting much better, and he is now practically finger trained.
	Andre is pretty quiet and calm. He does get very excited, though, when I play my drum and sing. He will sit on my shoulder or in his play yard when he is out of his cage. He also likes to climb up the curtain to sit on the curtain rod above the window.

This is how I got Andre:
I went to a pet store to look at birds about a month after Birdling died. This store had one peach face that was hand raised, but when we took him out, he tended to bite a little. The salesperson then pulled Andre out of his cage, which he shared with two other love birds that had already paired up. Andre was spooked and so kept trying to fly away, and the salesperson kept chasing him (Andre couldn't go far because his wings are clipped). Finally Andre flew toward me so I picked him up. He nestled into my hand and I held him. When I tried to put him back he snuggled further into my hand. So I decided to take him home. My friend, Patty, who was with me thought that our energies went well together. Andre is very sweet and doesn't bite.
